Being a barber was always something I knew I had to complete in life. Every since I was younger I was the primary barber amongst my friends and family. I never thought that all that practice at home  and at barber shops would eventually pay off. Living on OU's campus really assisted in my popularity of barber skills. I remember staying in vandy in 2009 with my tiny dorm cluttered with students trying to get hair cuts and facial lines. I can say I was developed as a barber at around 17. Around that age I would stay at the barber shop all day after school learning tips and pointers from barbers with over 20 years of experience. It came so natural as if I was just born with the talent to cut hair. As of now I still try and learn ways of being better by doing the same routine as I would do at 17.  I still tend to visit my barber today and give thanks to the time and patience he's giving me to learn how to become a consistent barber. About a week ago it was just another typical day when I had visited my barber's shop. While there we noticed a very luxurious car outside the shop located near Waterford. At first we didn't pay it no attention although it seemed a little ironic for a 600 Mercedes Benz to be near this area parked with just one guy in the car. I would think for a car like that near this area the guy would at least be accompanied, but he was by himself which seemed even more weird.  After about a couple a minutes this very tall mysterious guy that stood atleast about 6 foot 11 inches comes in and asks " who's the best barber"? Still a little puzzled, I said " well with just me and my barber Darius being here I would say he's the best, not to mention he has about 20 years more experience than me". So with said he went over towards my barber's chair and told him he was interested in a "tapper" which is  a simple haircut with a fade in the front and the back. So in the middle of the hair cut my barber commented and said " man you're very tall do you play any sports"? So the mysterious guy commented in a weird way by saying  " yeah i do". So of course I was curious and so was Darius so we asked what sport and he replied " I play basketball for the Detroit Pistons I'm Greg Monroe". Shocked with a dumb face we finally noticed and kinda figured he was some type of sports player due to his demeanor. After the haircut Monroe was very pleased so pleased that he signed some autographs, took some pics, and also even exchanged numbers with my barber and said he'd be returning. Amazed and astonished we watched as he left the barber shop. I was in shock that this guy was only 21 driving a car that cost 6 figures. I still find it a little weird that the haircut Greg Monroe's walking around with as of now is quality work of my barber who has basically coached and mentored me. I was star struck for maybe a few hours calling all my family and friends to brag, but now I see that it was just the start of recognition that we'll receive for our quality work and dedication.

Detroit Pistons starting center Greg Monroe is said to be the pistons up and coming star.
